Lower School celebration evening 15th July

The annual Lower School celebration evening took place on a very hot evening last week. The Academy’s Main Hall was once again packed with students, their families and staff eagerly awaiting the awarding of certificates, rewards and trophies to some of our hardest working students.  Our guest for the evening was Sarah Gold, Digital Designer. She gave an inspirational speech which highlighted some of her amazing accomplishments, whilst also really underpinning for our students what hard work and never giving up on your dreams can achieve. She then helped Mr Feldwick present the awards. The highlight of the evening was the presentation of four very special awards: The Woodard Board prize, awarded for the most significant contribution to the Christian ethos of the Academy went to Ellissia Allsep, whilst the Sam Edwards Trophy for Art was awarded to Tiegan Waghorn. Joint winners of the Trevor Pearless Award for great endeavour and resolution were Eleanor & Imogen Cates and Jonathan Atkins was the worthy recipient of the Oakwood Shield for Academic Achievement. Izzy McNally gave a beautiful performance of ‘Pulled’ from The Adams Family musical as a musical interlude. Congratulations go to all of the 102 award winners.
