Student Skiing Success

Many of our students have busy lives outside the Academy pursuing their particular interests and several students show enough flair & promise to continue their activities to a high standard. Year 8 student, Elizabeth Pragnell, is one of these students but has a talent in a comparatively unusual area – skiing. She is currently ranked no.1 in Europe in her category after just two events.

Recently, Elizabeth took part in a major championship, skiing very well to reach the big final.
She was 2nd going into last corner chasing the lead racer and then crashed out but still managed to finish 4thoverall.

Her father told us that the Audi ski kids tour consists of 6 events at different Swiss locations, Lenk, Anzere, Sedrun, Hoch-Ybrig, Melschee-Frut and Schilithorn. Hundreds of Elite junior athletes from across Europe compete for podium finishes. Elizabeth intends to attend the full series and he is grateful for the support the Academy is giving to allow Elizabeth to compete in these events.
