Unity Bands

Cancer touches many lives, age is no barrier. As a school we are constantly looking at ways we can encourage our students to connect with others that might need a little support - whatever that might be. As the Academy community is representative of the wider community, it is a disease that many  students and staff have first- hand experience of within their families. Not surprisingly, it was decided that we would support World Cancer Day on 4th February.

Senior students took on the challenge of selling 200 Unity bands to support Cancer Research UK. Many students & staff were soon seen sporting the multi-coloured bands and the result was a magnificent total of  £213.40  that was raised for the charity. Well done everyone!
