‘We’ve got rhythm’!

This year’s sold out Music and Dance concert, ‘We’ve got rhythm’, was a jam-packed showcase of 75 students within the Performing Arts department. Students across both Key Stage 3 and 4 not only performed a range of excellent routines and musical items but also ran the sound, lighting and stage management for the show.

For some, the concert was a first chance to perform in public at the Academy. However, fresh off the back of their debut public performance at the Birmingham Symphony Hall, the St Augustine Academy Choir were in full swing with 15 students singing harmonies. The Elite Squad in Dance showed us that their commitment over the past year has seen them grow in numbers as well as talent! Several groups of dance students had prepared intriguing routines which played out as mini dramas.  Soloists in both Music and Dance stepped into the spotlight and wowed our audience with exceptional performances.

As always, we would like to thank everyone for attending this event and supporting our students in celebrating their hard work and commitment to the performing arts.
