Message from the Principal
Dear Parents and Guardians
I hope you and your families are well and enjoying some of the new freedoms under the lockdown.
As you know we have been open during the lockdown for vulnerable children and children of key workers.
From the 16th June year 10 students will start to attend the Academy.
Sadly due to strict social distancing measures this will be in a very limited way until September.
Also following government guidance I am unable at this time to open the Academy for any other students.
From the 16th June 30 Year 10 students will be invited in for face to face meeting.
The families involved have already been contacted.
From the 22nd June all of the Year 10 students will be invited in for one day a week to attend lessons. The day your child should attend will be communicated.
The Year 10 school day will be from 10am until 2pm. It will comprise of 5 lessons 45 minutes long.
All students will need to bring in a packed lunch.
Students do not need to wear their uniform but should wear sensible warm clothes as windows will be open to improve ventilation.
All risk assessments and safety protocols have been written and will be on the website.
Please read these and ensure your child understands the rules they must follow.

Most of these assessments will be online, but we will support some students with paper assessments.
Although we will not be having our normal prize evening, we will be rewarding our dedicated hard working students with our usual trophies, certificates and gift tokens. More information will be communicated.
We will be closing for all students on the 17th July for the summer holidays.
