Christmas Shoeboxes for charityPosted on: 10th Dec 2019
Each year the year 10 GCSE Citizenship group are challenged to raise money for the Christmas Shoebox Appeal. In order to do this, students need to undertake a sponsored action to raise money to buy gifts for their shoe box. The shoe boxes are then sent via a charity to a developing country. This year, a range of sponsored challenges were undertaken – from sponsored silences and not using phones for 24 hours to one student who slept in a tent in his back garden to raise money! It was a hugely successful event this year with the 20 students in Year 10 who take Citizenship as an option managing to fill 24 boxes with gifts. Thank you and well done to all involved!
