Year 10 students go to University

Posted on: 14th Feb 2020

A group of year 10 students visited the University of Kent’s campus in Canterbury for a day, experiencing the life of a university student. Their day started with a lecture setting the scene for the day on the theme of Artificial Intelligence. Following this, the students took part in three different workshops that focused on that same theme but within different aspects of AI. This allowed students to experience the range of subject offers at the University, developing aspiration and motivation for what is achievable. The students had a fantastic day visiting the university, having a personalised tour where they were able to visit the departments and subjects that they were interested in. They also took part in games and workshops that would look at higher level topics of study. A big thank you goes to Mr Muir for organising such a great day.
