BackChallenge Partners Review at St Augustine Academy
Posted on: 20th Nov 2025We were delighted to welcome Challenge Partners to St Augustine Academy last week. Their voluntary Quality Assurance Review provides peer feedback on our curriculum, teaching, learning, and leadership.
The review is primarily for internal use, helping us to reflect on our successes, celebrate our strengths, and identify areas for development.
The feedback we received was extremely positive. Some highlights included:

“In a relatively short time since the school’s most recent inspection, leaders have improved behaviour, attendance, teaching and learning, and the school’s culture. This has required courage and persistence, and a determination to keep pressing on.”

“Teachers consistently follow the ‘SAA Way’, which sets out clear elements for each lesson, including recall or retrieval, new information, and checking for understanding.”

“Students told reviewers that people in the school are inclusive and accept differences. One student said, ‘We always treat everyone, including visitors to our school, with compassion.’”
We are extremely grateful to the Challenge Partners team for their insights and will use their feedback to continue enhancing the education and experiences we provide for our students.
